Technical SEO – so Google finds and serves your website
The best content is worthless if Google can’t find it or your page loads too slowly. I clear the technical hurdles out of the way – after the work, your website gets crawled cleanly, is fully indexed and loads quickly even on a smartphone. Your content then competes on quality again, not against your own tech.
What I check and fix
With Screaming Frog, PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix and Google Search Console I go through systematically – eight individual checks, grouped into four fields.
What you get
Prioritized action list
Sorted by impact, not alphabetically.
Implemented fixes
Wherever your system allows it, I implement them directly.
Clean indexing
Your important pages are fully and correctly indexed.
Briefing for developers
Clearly written, where I can’t intervene myself.
Relaunch, migration and your CMS
The relaunch is the most expensive moment in your website’s life: if the redirect plan is missing or the staging environment sits openly in the index, years of visibility are gone overnight. I’ve supervised system changes like Wix to WordPress and plentymarkets to Shopify, and I know where things break. Supervision starts at €2,500 – a fraction of what a collapsed relaunch costs. The best time to involve me is before go-live – the second best is now. All details on website relaunch support.
In WordPress I implement most things directly myself. Shopify and Shopware impose structure – there I work purposefully with what the system allows. TYPO3 and server-level changes go through your developers, with a briefing that works without follow-up questions. For you that means: no action list full of items your system can’t even deliver.
Billed by actual effort.
To get started I recommend the technical stocktake in the SEO audit from €1,200 – after that you’ll know what’s ahead and what it costs. Content and access always belong to you.
- Scope: targeted fixes or ongoing technical support.
- System: WordPress, Shopify, Shopware and TYPO3 each bring their own limits.
- Relaunch: Migrations from €2,500, depending on the system change and scope.
Signs that technical SEO is due
Pages missing from Google
Your pages don’t show up on Google even though they’ve long been online.
Unclear Search Console errors
Search Console reports errors you can’t make sense of.
Traffic drop after a relaunch
Your traffic collapsed after the relaunch.
Dead links
Old links land on error pages instead of your offers.
Slow mobile loading
Your page loads so slowly on mobile that visitors bounce.
FAQ on technical SEO
Do I need a complete audit first?
Not always. If the problem is clearly defined – say, error messages in Search Console – I get started right away. If it’s unclear where things are stuck, the stocktake from €1,200 is the more sensible first step.
Do you give a ranking guarantee?
No – and be careful with anyone who does, because Google decides rankings. What I do promise: clean work, traceable priorities and a reply within 24 hours on weekdays.
Does my developer have to be involved?
That depends on your system. In WordPress I handle most of it myself; for TYPO3 or server topics I brief your team so precisely that no translation loops arise.
Am I tied in long term?
No, support is cancellable monthly. Everything created along the way – documentation, settings, access – belongs to you and stays with you.
